2003 TESTIMONIAL
Scott & Robin Ingram, Frank Barr and his girlfriend, Barbara, and Debbie & Greg Stephens presented this year's check to Kenny, on-air at the Unity Telethon. Topping off the evening, they were treated to not only a great performance by Kenny (with Shem accompanying on keyboards) but also a surprise appearance by Kenny's son, Crosby who played a couple of his own tunes!!

2002 TESTIMONIAL
In 2002 the economy was down, many had either lost their jobs or taken drastic cuts in pay. We weren't sure whether we would be able to give to what had now become one of our own personal favorite charities, but we deeply wanted to show Kenny how much we cared about him and what he has given to us. We also wanted to help others even less fortunate then ourselves. Therefore, we dove in to unite again, and a check was presented to Christmas Unity in Kenny's honor in the sum of $2,000!

2001 TESTIMONIALS
Kenny receives a list of every single person who donates, and as you will read by the testimonials within these web pages, you will see how much it truly means to him! After the show in Clearwater, Florida, 20 plus members gathered in a circle as I handed him the honorary check, which Debbie and others would personally present at the Telethon just two days later. As I handed him the check, I told him that we were doing this "because we loved him." I don't think I've ever seen Kenny so speechless, as we told him that not only were we able to collect money again this year in his honor for the Unity Shoppe, but we DOUBLED what we had collected last year!

LETTER FROM KENNY - 2001
Unity is a local charity organization that provides food, clothing, books and toys to underprivileged families in Santa Barbara County. Unlike most charities, Unity is structured to bring not only life’s necessities to those in need, but it does so in a way that preserves the recipient’s dignity. Unity provides low-income individuals and families with choices, allowing them to “purchase†goods that their family actually needs. With the help of the community, Unity is able to help over 10,000 local people on an annual basis, and 7,000 of those are children.

2000 TESTIMONIALS
After donning a red Unity Shoppe T-shirt, I was given the grand tour of the facility. At first I was amazed at how huge the facility was on the inside. As we walked through each department -- infants, preschool, girls, boys, teens, books and toys, I was excited to see how inviting each section looked. There were racks full of clothes and shoes, shelves full of books and toys, and an adorable dollhouse in the center of the room. The whole "store" was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and stuffed animals, and handmade wooden toys lined the walls. It felt so warm and cozy and inviting. Next, we entered the grocery store with its shelves full of canned goods, dried food, bread, cereal, fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products and meats. A family could find all the necessities here.
